End of year

End of year one HND Photography

October 2016 to June 2017

So today I went in to college to hand in my final assignment for this year. It has been amazing being back at college again and although hard work I can not wait to start the second year in October.

Who would have thought I could actually grow to enjoy landscape photography and I hope to do more of this style in the future, it has it’s own set of challenges but it can bring forth some amazing images. I need to try to be less of a so called fair weather photographer and get some night and early morning shots to help broaden my portfolio.

I think I have produced some good work over the year and my lecturer Chris Hill seems happy with my progress. As I get older photography seems to get more important to me and want to leave behind some work for those that follow on from me.

Next year I want to improve on what I have learned todate and experiment more with film and other aquisition devices such as lomo, camera phones and old film cameras plus of cause DSLR.

It is my hope to be good enough to take a third year and get a degree in photography, not from a career point of view as I am 52 now, but more for self fulfilment.

Thank you to my wife Helen who has joined me on this journey and is developing in to a great photographer also.
